Service Overview

Cactus Communication provides speech-language pathology services in the National Capital Region. Our services are designed to assist individuals in improving their speech and communication skills. These services may include assessments, therapy sessions, and related activities.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about their speech and communication needs. It is important to attend scheduled sessions punctually and actively participate in the therapy process. Clients are also responsible for any fees associated with the services provided.

Confidentiality

Cactus Communication is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of client information. All client records and interactions will be kept strictly confidential, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Any sharing of client information will only be done with explicit written consent from the client or as required by law, in which case, every effort will be made to inform the client of such a disclosure.

Payment

Payment for services is due in accordance with the payment terms agreed upon during the initial consultation. We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, cheques, and e-transfers. Failure to make timely payments may result in suspension or termination of services, and may also incur a late payment fee as outlined in our fee schedule.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Clients are requested to provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. Timely notification of cancellations or rescheduling not only allows us to efficiently allocate resources, but also demonstrates consideration for fellow clients seeking our services. Failure to adhere to this policy may incur a cancellation fee, which is detailed in our comprehensive fee schedule.

Disclaimer of Liability

Clients acknowledge that while Cactus Communication and its therapists are committed to providing the highest quality of care, individual results may vary, and therefore, any outcomes or progress achieved during the course of therapy cannot be guaranteed. Cactus Communication and its therapists are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.

This includes, but is not limited to, instances of harassment, aggressive conduct, or any form of communication that compromises the safety or well-being of our therapists or other clients. Such actions may be detrimental to the therapeutic process and hinder the progress of all parties involved.
